Law Office of Alton Estrada
North Texas Criminal Defense Attorney

My name is Alton Estrada and I am a North Texas Criminal Defense Attorney ready to help you with your legal issues.  If you, a family member, or friend have been charged with a misdemeanor, felony, or juvenile crime, I can assist the individual through the criminal legal process. I have represented either the State of Texas or previous criminal clients in driving while intoxicated, theft, drugs, assaults, sexual assaults, indecency with a child, aggravated assaults, robbery, burglary, evading arrest, and murder charges. I have tried over 120 jury trials over the past 14 years and would love an opportunity to try your case.

After being licensed to practice law in 2001 I started work as an Assistant District Attorney at the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office in Fort Worth, Texas.  After two years in the misdemeanor division I was promoted to felony.  I also worked in the family violence court and the juvenile division during my four years at the office.

From 2005 to 2007 I represented clients charged with crimes in Tarrant, Dallas, Denton, Parker, Hood, and Rockwall county.  I tried a dozen jury trials for criminal clients and received not guilty verdicts in ten of the trials and a probation sentence from the jury for a client charged with sexual assault of a child.  I went to court daily with clients all over the North Texas region, helping them understand the police charges, the prosecutor's perspective, the judge's role, and the probation department rules.

In 2008 I returned to prosecuting at the Hunt County District Attorney's Office in Greenville, Texas.  I practiced in both the 354th and 196th District Courts.  I helped indict over one thousand indictments and tried 24 felony offenses to a jury.  I know the prosecutors, judges, and police officers in Hunt County and can help someone charged with a crime.

In 2010 I began working at the Rockwall County District Attorney's Office as the Chief Felony prosecutor for the 439th District Court.  When needed, I also practiced in the 382nd District Court. I was responsible for the daily operation of cases pending in the 439th Court and helped train junior prosecutors.  I was also Chief of the Grand Jury and understand the process of how and why cases are indicted in Rockwall County. I can help you, a family member, or friend through the process of criminal charges in Rockwall.
